Well i have finished my May socks in plenty of time and i have another pair in progress on the needles.
These socks were made for my hubby, Steve.
I used a knittery sock yarn in the colourway mist (discontinued) ~ really like the colour so it's a shame i can't get more.
Pattern was "Just Yer Basic Sock" by Alyson Johnson.
I really like this pattern, very simple but classic.
Can Mooska have an M for May please...x

May Socks from Lyn
Hi,
What lovely socks have already been posted for May.
Here is my contribution. These are for my son-in-law as promised from last month. The pattern is Oak Ribbed Sock from Knitting Vintage Socks and the wonderful yarn is from Claudia Hand Painted Yarns. It required 2 1/3 skeins since the yardage is 175 per skein. I hope you will see the remaining 2/3 skein made into short socks or conbined with another yarn soon. Anyway, the fit is great and he is very happy with them.

The tequila made me do it!

Pattern: Toe-Up Jaywalkers by Natalia Marek from Raverly. An adaptation of Jaywalkers on grumperina.com edited for toe-up.
Yarn: Cameleon Colorworks Dyeworks & Fiber Studio Footsie in "Taos" made of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon. 400yds, 3.5oz
Needle: Addi Turbos, size1, 40" circ, two socks on the one circular
Cast on: April 8th Bind off: May 17th
And yes, the coordinating mini-sock as well for the Christmas tree.
Cheater May socks
A cheat because the majority of the pair was knit about two years ago. And then stuck in a cupboard and forgotten about! I finally dug them out and finished them this morning on the way to work.
Pattern - my own, which will be written up and available soon I hope!
Yarn - Brown Sheep Nature Spun Sport
More details on my blog.

An Mmmmm for May, Please?
I'm going to probably miss posting before the month is out since I'll be on vacation, so here is my submission for May.

One pair for May
I'm working on two different pairs right now, but I finished one pair so far for May. This was for Sock Wars III.
This is the Detonator pattern knit in Regia 4 ply. My target had a Size 10 foot. The pattern was interesting, but I thought it looked a bit big. I did get gauge. The pattern called for 72 stitches on US2's and the recommended yarn was Tofutsies. I hope they fit my target!

May socks
Ohhh! I'm behind with my sockknitting. But I'll go on and my socks for May are finished. They are for my mother, knitted with Lana Grossa meilenweit with casmere and Silk. The pattern is called "Komet" . It was very nice to knit.
