April socks

Ta Da ! I actually have socks for April . I've been sidetracked by so many things this month that I wasn't sure if they would be finished on time . The pattern is Waving Rib by Charlene Schurch . I enjoyed knitting them but was underwhelmed by the yarn (OnLine Supersocke 100 Alpaka ) because there were no less than 5 places where the yarn had been broken and then knotted together . For the most part it didn't disrupt the colour sequence , except for one spot , so I didn't try to match them up , something I don't usually do .Guess I just got unlucky .  But hey , sometimes you have to just go with the flow .

April Socks

Only one pair of socks finished this month.  These are just plain old 60st vanilla socks done in an ankle version knit with four leftover colorways of Kroy sock yarn.  Started March 24 and finished April 6.  Details here.

Happy knitting!

abbehope for april :)

Checking in again in April with another pair of SockMadness6-socks, the third official round was staring "I want to beleaf", and I made it to the next round so now I'm just waiting for the very last person to finish round three so we can get new specs and a new pattern... Probably won't happen until May though, so here're my April-socks.

Heleconia Socks by Adrienne Fong. They are made with Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Tuscany colorway. They were knit for my daughter who has always wanted to go to Tuscany!

I used two circular needles, 2.25 mm and made them 11" to fit her feet. She loved them!
