These were actually supposed to be my February socks, but I sorta missed the deadline , life's like that . They were finally completed for this months' sock KAL .The pattern is Rosamond by Kate Blackburn . This is the second time that I've knit this pattern and it probably won't be the last . The yarn  (Plymouth Yarns Zino ) doesn't really do it justice , though I do like the colours , a solid or semi-solid yarn would show up the pattern a little better . All in all I'm pretty happy with my new socks .

I actually knit this pair 1.5 times...yeah...I was in denial the first time until I got to the heel turn...thus frogging and reknitting.

March socks

I've not been feeling the sock knitting mojo recently, so I'm extra thrilled to have actually finished a pair this month!

Yarn is two-ply handspun superwash Corriedale from Spunky Eclectic in "Tartan", socks are simple toe-up stockinette with a 2x2 rib at the cuff.

March Socks

Three pairs of socks for March. The first pair were for Hubs, a stitch pattern I'd gotten out of a book a few years back. The yarn is Austerman Step. Details here.


Then I decided to go through my leftovers, I have a friend who likes ankle socks. So far I've finished two pairs for her. Details here.

Robin's Egg Blue Socks

Needles: Size 1 Yarn: Robin's Egg Custard Sock Yarn 100 percent Merino wool, 3.5 oz/100g approximately 490 yards/448m from Wool Candy on Etsy. Pattern: Summer Lovin Socks designed by Dawn Matkovic available free on Ravelry.

I only finished one pair this month. One reason is that I'm still recovering from calcifications in my rotator cuff, but thankfully an MRI showed no damage so that means no surgery. I also recently found out that I will be a first-time grandmother! I have about 75 pairs of socks now and I've decided to start re-purposing some of my extensive sock yarn stash into baby sweaters. That doesn't mean I won't still be knitting socks, just not as many pairs. MoniqueL

Spring mood in March

I chose a real spring-color to knit up my March-socks using a handdyed yarn and this pattern by Regina Satta. They will be a Easter-Present for my mum.

...I´m already thinking about what pattern to use in April ;--)...

Finished socks for March with plenty of time to spare!  The pattern is Rambutan by Cookie A and the yarn is Sanguine Gryphon Bugga in Hueschrecke.  Pattern and yarn were both from the December 2011 club shipment.

March Socks

I actually have a pair to report!!!! Here are my socks using a Basketweave Rib pattern.

I used Cherry Tree Hill yarn in Martha's Vineyard.

They took me a little over a year to complete, they were my car socks, the ones I worked on when I was waiting in line to pick up kids. I finally brought them inside a week ago just so I could finish them off!
