June Socks

In the nick of time on a couple of levels.

Kitchenered the toe in time to count for June Socks AND to give my new nephew that was born 3 days ago.  I'm glad they are big because with the way this heat is going, he won't need them for a LONG time!

Yarn is Black Cherry colorway from Slackford Studios. Socks are K2P2 all the way to the toe, knitted on 1.5 needles and made for a size 13 man's foot.

These socks were begun in May but finally finished in June . Can't believe it took me so long to finish them ! They are the Swedish Blocks pattern from More Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch . Love the pattern , the yarn (OnLine Supersocke 100 - Summer Color ) and most of all the  colours . Good thing because they're for me !

Disappearing Act Socks

You might think I have disappeared - it has been so long since I have finished a pair of socks but tadaa....finally! This pattern is by Michelle Hunter and was a February KAL but I finished them last night (6/28/12). I used Austermann Royal yarn and the pattern is on Ravelry. June Socks

I finished a pair with a pattern called "Verdrehte Eule" in German which means "Swirled Owl". It´s a kind of spiral/ twisted move all around the sock. I will give them to my husband as a present for his birthday next month.

Father's Day Socks for June!

Hello! For June I knit some plain old stockinette socks for my husband from Foot Notes Unspun (which I then spun) in Black Coffee No. 9. He loved them, and there's enough yarn left over to knit the 3 year old matching socks too!

I think he deserves extra credit for modeling them in 96 degree weather. :)

The River Rapids socks are finished.  I wish you could feel them.  Oh my gosh ... so, SO soft.  It's that little bit of cashmere, I'll bet.

These socks were among the most enjoyable I've ever knit.  The pattern is fun.  It fits well and the yarn is simply wonderful.

June Socks for Ray

This pattern is called Jeck and is knit with Lorna's Laces Solemate.  I understand this yarn is suppose to regulate temperature.  Even if not so, they turned out to be a good knit that looks nice for a man's sock.
